Chessflyer.com's Seattle Summer Camp Roundup
Week-long intensive chess programs are known as Camps and they're amazingly popular in the Seattle area among parents and their children. Camps are available pretty much any time kids are out of school and you can find them during winter break, spring break, the holiday/Christmas season and especially in the summertime. Young chess students love the opportunity to play with their friends have special, fun chess-related activities and get top notch instruction from highly qualified chess teachers. If you want to send your son or daughter to a chess camp, register early because they fill up fast!

The Chess Mates Foundation is run by Georgi Orlov, 1994 US Champion and International Master and Elena Donaldson, Three Time US Women's Champion. This husband and wife team are a powerhouse of chess knowledge and abilities. For years they have been providing many types of activities as well as private coaching and chess clubs in the Seattle area. |

Run by coach David Hendricks – full time chess coach of 9 schools including a national and state championship team, and Scholastic Director for the Washington Chess Federation, but he is also an avid sports player and was an athletic director organizing and refereeing basketball, volleyball, softball, and tennis leagues for youth and adults. |
